Youth Recreation Coach Community Education Lincoln Community Center Summary of Duties: Under the general supervision of the Recreation Specialist, provide a physically and emotionally healthy recreation program for boys and girls that involves team sports skills. Act as a co-worker with other youth sports coaches. Work with boys and girls in Kindergarten through 6th Grade or 4 and 5 year olds who have not entered Kindergarten. Ensure that optimum safety precautions are taken when operating all activities, and administer first aid to minor injuries. An enthusiastic supporter of the Community Education Department and its programs and philosophies. Encourage patrons' good personal habits by setting a good example yourself. Qualifications Required: Good knowledge of the principles, practices, organization, administration, and purpose of a recreational sports program. A working knowledge of sports. Qualifications Preferred: A combination of age, training, and experience equivalent to one year of college. Previous experience as a paid or volunteer youth coach. Rate of Pay: $12.00 - $17.00per hour ( depending on experience) Application Deadline : September 16, 2026, or until filled.
