Due to rapid growth, Oracle Government, Defense, and Intelligence (GDI) is seeking a Technical Proposal Writer that has a passion for cloud concepts, system integration, and cloud migrations that can support internal Oracle sales efforts. This role is ideal for someone who is tired of working on the same project or with the exact same technology for months or years without the possibility of future growth. The primary focus of a Technical Proposal Cloud Solution Engineer is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects, customers, and internally to our sales force. This is a FLEXIBLE HYBRID position combining remote work with 1–2 days per week in our Reston, VA office. Candidates must be based in the greater Washington, DC area. An active Top Secret clearance is required. As a Technical Proposal Writer, you will be responsible for: Writing technical proposals for US federal government customers seeking Oracle Cloud services and task order solutions (sizing and architecture). Understanding, identifying, and documenting client requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate, and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security, and service delivery. Providing pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource, mentor, and leader for less experienced Solution Engineers. Design and validate Oracle cloud architecture solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Support sales team in online and in-person efforts to ensure technical writing component of the proposals are thorough and aligned. Strong verbal and written communication skills Knowledge and experience with any of public cloud providers including Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or Google (GCP) architecture, tools, and cloud methodologies. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range in USD from: $147,300 to $243,800 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.
