Summary of the Job: The Senior Developer, Technology is responsible for collaborating with an agile team to deliver secure, high-quality solutions that create value for our customers and the business. This role partners with product ownership and the business to define tasks and provide estimates for User Stories. The Senior Developer brings strong expertise in modern micro front-end development with React.js, and is eager to grow into back-end development with Java Spring Boot and AWS-native services. Developers are responsible for attending and participating in all Scrum ceremonies. About This Role: As a Senior Developer, you will be a hands-on, full-stack contributor with a primary focus on building modern, modular user experiences using React.js and micro front-end architecture. You will work alongside Lead Developers and Enterprise Architecture, mentor developers earlier in their careers, and if needed expand your skills in back-end development using Java Spring Boot and AWS-native services. We are looking for someone who is curious, collaborative, and excited to broaden their technical range across the full stack. The Ideal Candidate for This Role: Requirements 5+ years experience in front-end development with HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript 3+ years current experience building production applications with React.js, including hooks, state management, and component-based design Experience with, or strong working knowledge of, micro front-end architecture and shared component libraries or design systems Experience consuming and designing REST APIs Willingness and demonstrated ability to learn back-end development with Java Spring Boot and AWS Native deveopment Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server) and web servers Experience with software design principles as well as UI prototype design Working knowledge of Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development Ability to write quality unit, functional, and automated tests Experience with Git as a version control system, in conjunction with solutions such as Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab, and with CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of Gradle, Apache Maven, or Apache ANT is desirable Desired Financial services industry experience preferred but not required Experience utilizing AI engineering tools to accelerate software development pipelines preferred Exposure to AWS-native development (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS) preferred; willingness to learn is required Experience mentoring or supporting other developers is a plus Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
