Job description

About Us Visa is a world leader in payments technology, facilitating transactions between consumers, merchants, financial institutions and government entities across more than 200 countries and territories, dedicated to uplifting everyone, everywhere by being the best way to pay and be paid. At Visa, you'll have the opportunity to create impact at scale — tackling meaningful challenges, growing your skills and seeing your contributions impact lives around the world. Join Visa and do work that matters – to you, to your community, and to the world. Progress starts with you. Job Description Visa is looking for a product-minded risk leader to support a portfolio that includes stablecoin and crypto initiatives, AI-enabled agentic commerce, Visa Pay, Visa Accept and other emerging payment capabilities. You will work with pr oduct teams from early concept through launch and ongoing monitoring. Your role is to identify the risks that matter, bring the right experts together, and help the business make timely , well-informed decisions without adding unnecessary friction. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys learning new business models and technologies, asking thoughtful questions, and creating structure where the answer is not obvious. Deep experience in every product area is not expected. We value demonstrated expertise in one or more relevant domains and the ability to learn quickly across the portfolio. What you will do: Partner with emerging product teams: Build trusted relationships across Product, Technology, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, Data and AI Governance, Client Services and regional teams. Engage early in product roadmaps, design choices, partner models and market launches so material risks can be addressed before options narrow. Translate complex product, technology, regulatory and ecosystem questions into clear decisions, actions and leadership asks. Lead product risk decisions: Lead product risk reviews for new products, pilots, feature changes, partnerships and market launches. A product risk review is Visa’s structured process for identifying material risks and required mitigations before a product or significant change moves forward. Determine the right level of risk review, risk acceptance, control assessment and escalation for each initiative, based on materiality and product maturity. Document material risks, mitigations, accountable owners, decision points and post-launch monitoring expectations. Strengthen operational and enterprise risk management: Lead or support Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), including process scoping, risk identification, control design, issues and remediation plans. Assess whether controls are practical and fit for purpose by reviewing ownership, frequency, evidence, escalation and effectiveness. Maintain a forward-looking portfolio view of risks, control gaps, key risk indicators, risk acceptances, mitigation commitments and emerging themes. Keep enterprise risk records current and drive timely follow-through on mitigation actions. Apply judgment to new and evolving risks: Evaluate emerging payments, digital assets, AI-enabled commerce and related technologies by separating material exposure from theoretical concern. Connect strategic and ecosystem implications with the detailed operating processes and controls needed for safe execution. Reuse effective risk and control patterns across products while adapting the approach to the maturity, scale and context of each initiative. What will help you succeed: We are interested in high-potential leaders from risk, fintech, payments, digital assets, product, technology, consulting or other relevant backgrounds. You do not need to have followed a traditional risk career path. ATTRIBUTE: WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: Curiosity and learning agility: You can get smart quickly on unfamiliar products, technologies, regulations and business models, then ask the questions that move the work forward.
