Job description
We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas or take over sponsorship at this time. About the role: Enova’s UX team designs the experiences behind our financial products for business owners and consumers. As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll combine strong research and design skills with strategic thinking to solve complex problems and deliver experiences that drive measurable results. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering and Marketing to uncover opportunities, shape solutions and balance customer needs, business objectives and technical constraints. You'll also embrace AI to advance how we research, design and deliver work. About you: You believe great design starts long before the first wireframe. It starts with asking better questions, challenging assumptions and using data and insights to uncover opportunities others might overlook. Solving the problem in front of you isn't enough. You want to understand whether it's the right problem to solve. Curiosity, conviction and craft drive your work. You perform and dig deep into research, find meaning in complexity and turn insights into experiences that feel remarkably simple. Confident enough to challenge conventional thinking and humble enough to recognize a better idea, you know how to bring others along. You're excited by how AI and emerging technologies are changing what's possible, but recognize that technology is only as valuable as the problems it solves. Above all, you love the craft of design as much as the strategy behind it, and you're driven to turn ambitious ideas into experiences that make a measurable difference. Responsibilities: Lead research end to end: Independently frame research questions, select appropriate methods, conduct studies and synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable insights that inform design decisions and uncover opportunities across the customer journey. Turn insights into experiences: Translate complex customer needs, research findings and business requirements into elegant experiences, from initial concepts and wireframes through high-fidelity Figma prototypes. Apply strong information architecture, interaction and visual design skills. Apply AI across the UX process: Integrate AI into research, synthesis, ideation, prototyping and design to improve quality and efficiency. Proactively experiment with emerging tools, evaluate their impact and help evolve how the team works. Influence and collaborate: Build trusted relationships across Product, Engineering, Marketing and other teams. Communicate design decisions with confidence, use research and data to influence outcomes, and exercise sound judgment about when to advocate, adapt or compromise. Design within established systems and constraints: Apply and evolve the design system with sound judgment while meeting legal, compliance and accessibility requirements. Balance customer needs, business objectives and technical considerations to deliver effective, scalable and competitive solutions. Identify opportunities and measure impact: Look beyond immediate project requests to proactively identify customer and business opportunities. Partner with UX leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to help inform product priorities, define success metrics and use performance data to evaluate and continuously improve experiences. Drive work forward: Take ownership of complex UX challenges, navigate ambiguity and changing priorities, and partner with UX Writing, Product, Engineering and fellow designers to move solutions from problem definition through launch and iteration Requirements: 6+ years of UX design experience, including work in financial services or another highly regulated industry, with a portfolio demonstrating strong research, design execution and measurable product impact. Advanced qualitative and quantitative research skills, with demonstrated experience independently planning
