Job description

Relay is a digital banking platform that gives self-made business owners the tools and know-how to be great with money—bringing clarity, confidence, and control to every dollar earned, so they can turn hard work into lasting success. We do this by replacing financial guesswork with real visibility, transforming cash flow from a constant source of stress into a clear signal owners can use to run stronger, more resilient businesses. We're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Product-Led Growth to join our fast-growing Product Marketing team. This is a PMM role with a clear line to revenue through usage-based pricing, at a company betting big on product-led growth as its next chapter. Most of our customers never talk to a salesperson — they discover Relay's value on their own, inside the product. That means the product itself has to do the selling, and you'll be the one defining how it does: reading customer behavior, spotting the moments where value is obvious, and building the paths and incentives that turn that value into revenue. This is an ideal role for a PMM who thinks like a product person as much as a marketer, and wants direct, measurable influence on revenue. You know product-led growth, and you love to write. You'll bring the go-to-market lens to product decisions on usage-based pricing — working closely with Product Management and Product Design to create Relay's path to monetization. What You'll Be Doing • Own the monetization moments. Paywalls, upgrade prompts, plan comparison, and trial messaging. Make the case for paying when the value is most obvious, without eroding trust. • Bring the GTM lens to product decisions. You know the SMB owner, the competitive set, and the value story. Push that understanding upstream into what gets built, not just how it's described. Partner closely with Product Management and Marketing to align strategy with market opportunity and growth potential. • Keep the story consistent. The ad, the pricing page, the first screen after signup, and the week-three lifecycle email should tell one story. You define the story and partner with Brand, Demand Gen, and Lifecycle to create a cohesive experience. • Lead customer and competitive insight. Understand user needs and market trends. Translate insight into positioning and messaging that stays consistent across the customer journey. • Run the experiments. Size the opportunity, write the variants, call the test, ship the winner, kill the loser. Partner with Data to instrument what matters and report honestly, including the losses. • Work inside a regulated product. Money movement, card spend, and balance thresholds carry real compliance obligations. Bring Legal and Compliance in early and treat their constraints as design inputs, not last-minute roadblocks. Who You Are • 3+ years of product marketing or growth marketing. Bonus points for exposure to UX, content design, or technical writing • Experience with product-led growth (PLG) motions • Experience in fintech, startups, and/or the SMB space • Strong experimentation skills — you can size, run, and call a test • Strong writing skills – you’re a data-driven storyteller, skilled at crafting narratives that influence metrics • Customer champion – you engage deeply with customers and translate those insights into messaging and positioning that resonates The Interview Process • Stage 1: A 30-minute Google Meet video call with a member of the Talent team • Stage 2: A 60-minute Google Meet video call with the Head of Product Marketing • Stage 3: A take-home case study followed by a 60-minute Google Meet video call with our team • Stage 4: A 45-minute in-person interview with a member of the Leadership team Our Compensation Approach We believe Relayers should feel rewarded for the impact they have on our mission and growth. Compensation follows impact. As impact increases, compensation grows, and we do not limit compensation changes to a once-a-year review cycle. The annual salary range for
