Company Description At Power Integrations, we develop innovative semiconductor technologies that power energy-efficient solutions used around the world. From consumer electronics and industrial applications to electric vehicles and renewable energy systems, our products help customers solve increasingly complex power conversion challenges. Our technologies make electronic devices and energy systems more efficient worldwide. Employees collaborate with talented engineers, business leaders, and operations teams on products that directly affect our customers and our business. Motivation for the Job Power Integrations is seeking an experienced Analog and Digital Hardware Design Engineer to play a critical role in the development of reliability evaluation platforms for next-generation power conversion ICs. This position offers the opportunity to work on emerging semiconductor technologies during the earliest stages of product development, helping ensure robust performance and long-term reliability before products are introduced to the market. The successful candidate will work closely with IC design, product development, and reliability engineering teams to create advanced hardware systems that enable accelerated life testing and detailed device characterization. This is an exciting opportunity to influence product quality, innovate in power electronics design, and contribute directly to the success of future Power Integrations products. Job Description The Analog and Digital Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, validation, and optimization of advanced reliability test platforms for power conversion integrated circuits. The role requires a strong background in power electronics, analogue and digital circuit design, and reliability testing methodologies. Working within a multidisciplinary R&D environment, the engineer will design complex power conversion systems, develop custom test hardware, and evaluate emerging semiconductor technologies under accelerated stress conditions. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal engineering teams and external manufacturing partners. Specific Responsibilities Design dynamic operating life test circuits for accelerated reliability testing of power conversion ICs using a variety of switching power supply topologies. Develop complex, modular test systems capable of operating within environmental chambers at temperatures up to 95°C while maintaining device-under-test (DUT) temperatures up to 125°C. Interpret Objective Technical Specifications (OTS) and translate requirements into functional evaluation and reliability test circuits. Collaborate with IC design, product development, and reliability engineering teams to develop effective reliability stress-test platforms and validation methodologies. Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback to support product development, characterisation, and qualification activities. Design and specify magnetic components, including inductors and transformers, for reliability stress-testing applications. Work with external suppliers and manufacturing partners to fabricate prototype hardware, test boards, and custom magnetic components. Evaluate, troubleshoot, and optimise reliability test hardware, test procedures, and validation methodologies. Perform failure analysis and root-cause investigations on test systems and devices under evaluation. Create and maintain detailed design documentation, test procedures, and operational specifications. Skills Required Strong expertise in analogue and digital circuit design. Proven experience designing and developing power electronic systems, including power converters, inverters, and power supplies. Deep understanding of switched-mode power supplies (SMPS), including: Buck converters Boost converters SEPIC converters Flyback converters Forward converters Bridge converters Resonan
