Job Title Senior Architect System and Development Engineering Job Description In this role, you have the opportunity to Join one of our key growth areas as Mother & Child Care Business, known with the brand Philips Avent. You’ll be working as System Architect in a new value space of BabyTech part of Smart Parenting category. You will be part of the R&D organization contributing to the innovation roadmap realization, including the IoT smart devices for our digital parenting platform. As architect, you will be driving and be responsible of the technical execution of a product proposition, from the start in defining the product requirements, up to the development phase before release and aftercare of the innovative products in collabration with the cross-functional project team. You are responsible for Managing the end to end all product requirements and verification/validation matters related to technical solution/execution of a product proposition/platform Defining requirements of the overall design, realization and test of a system, subsystem and component; understands and communicates consequences of the design on the architecture. Ensure new functions fulfill applicable generic system requirements and define new system requirement of new functions developed. Finalizes design requirements in accordance with the functional specifications and then tests, analyses and verify their performance. Translates project objective(s) from benefits and/or step improvements into corresponding functional requirements (targets), considering all valid use-cases, product reliability, design robustness, cost and manufacturability Subject matter expert for Systems Engineering in medical and non-medical devices development processes. Ensure that the development team correctly interpret and implement of all product requirements during the different phases of the product development: eg. VPC/AD/PDLM/MLD, requirements are systematically defined and documented (e.g. via DOORS) Technical leadership in product development, launch and maintenance stage process. Design, analysis and testing of systems and sub-systems, problem-solving in design and providing guidance to internal team and external vendors (OEM/ODM) ensuring robust end-to-end design (DFSS) to fulfil quality / reliability / safety and meet system requirements. Drive excellence in CTQ definition; Design FMEA analysis and Design review and development with Cross-Innovation sites (internal) engineering teams, OEM/ODM manufacturers and in-house factories, including lifecycle product quality improvements. Use of critical thinking to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Display a knack for complex problem solving by evaluating options and implementing solutions that address the root cause.
