Job description

Job Description: At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward. We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders. About the Role: Remitly is seeking an AI-forward Security Engineer to join Corporate Security (CorpSec) within Security & Privacy (S&P) and build the automation that secures our workforce, identities, and devices. Our objective: every Remitlian works on accounts and devices that are secure by default, and access is granted and removed automatically. In this role, you will build and operate the identity, access, endpoint, and SaaS security controls that keep Remitly's workforce secure, and ship the code and agents that run them. You will partner with IT and engineering teams to deliver paved roads that raise our security bar without creating friction for employees. Strength in identity and access management, endpoint security, and software engineering, combined with curiosity and a habit of teaching yourself new tools, will be part of your success in this role. We are deeply AI-forward, and if you are excited to use agents and code to retire manual work, we want you on our team. You Will: Automate Access: Build and maintain automation for single sign-on, phishing-resistant authentication, and joiner, mover, and leaver access, so access is granted and removed without a ticket. Secure Devices and SaaS: Configure, monitor, and improve controls for mobile device management (MDM), endpoint detection and response (EDR), and SaaS security, keeping devices and business applications hardened without slowing employees down. Ship Agents and Code: Use agents and code to find and fix misconfigurations and excess access across corporate systems, and turn what you build into tools the team relies on. Respond and Improve: Triage CorpSec requests and security events, take part in the team's on-call rotation, and fix root causes so issues stay fixed. Partner Across Teams: Work with IT, engineering, and business owners to onboard new SaaS tools and AI integrations securely and quickly, and help them make principled security decisions. Raise the Bar: Give thorough code reviews, keep runbooks current, and help new teammates and security champions apply the standards you work to. You Have: Experience building and operating corporate security controls for identity, endpoint, or SaaS at an organization with 1,000+ users. Hands-on experience with identity platforms and protocols, like Okta, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM. Experience securing macOS and mobile devices with MDM, EDR, and tools like Santa. Proficiency in a language like Python or Golang, and experience building automation that detects risk or speeds up response. Hands-on experience delivering production or open source software through agentic development. Familiarity with zero trust access, like secure access service edge (SASE), and cloud-native infrastructure, like AWS and Kubernetes. Curiosity that shows up outside your day job: you experiment, build, and stay current on open source and new security tools. Clear communication about security risks and tradeoffs, and experience influencing other teams to act without relying on formal authority. Compensation Details The starting base salary range for t
