City/State Charlottesville, VA Work Shift Third (Nights) Overview: Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for Cornell 3- our Medical Surgical Unit! This is a full-time night shift position (12 hour) in Charlottesville, VA. One of the best staffed Medical/Surgical units in the state! Up to a $20,000 Sign-on Bonus for qualifying candidates!! Job Summary: Full-time / Nights / 40 hours a week 3, 12-hour night shifts plus 4 hours of dedicated administrative time weekly Self-scheduling available, with schedule requests accommodated whenever possible based on unit needs No call requirement Opportunities for voluntary overtime available based on unit needs BSN required Cornell 3 is a 24-bed medical-surgical unit focused on gastrointestinal care, addressing conditions like gallbladder diseases, appendicitis, bowel obstructions, and procedures such as colon resections and ostomy creation. The unit also cares for patients with sepsis, respiratory issues, and diabetes complications, maintaining a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 to 1:6 for personalized care. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. Education Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (required) Or MSN (Preferred) Certification/Licensure Registered nursing License (Required) BLS required within 90 days of hire Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $47.42 - $68.63 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
