Job Title: Research Technician Department: Biology, Das Lab Employment Type: On-site | Full-Time | Nonexempt | Temporary Hourly Rate Range: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour The purpose of this position is to assist in the research conducted in the Das lab in the Biology department (www.daslabpombe.com). The major responsibilities include the following, Performing experiments with yeast cell culture, including strain preparation and data collection. The major techniques include confocal microscopy, cloning, protein biochemistry and yeast genetics. Data Analysis and reporting. Preparing media and reagents required in the lab. Preparing glassware required for lab research. Ordering supplies as needed. Implement and ensure lab safety protocols.
