Job Description: This position offers the opportunity to serve as a Research Specialist in 3M’s Analytical Laboratory, leading a broad range of global analytical requests in surface analysis. The role focuses on developing new analytical test methods based on a strong understanding of fundamental materials and products, while driving materials characterization, competitive analysis, performance and durability evaluation, manufacturing troubleshooting, customer complaint investigation, and data analytics solutions. It also provides the opportunity to take an active leadership role in global networking and collaboration. Through close partnership with diverse business organizations, this role supports problem solving for new product development and provides analytical data to address issues arising during customer application of products. The position also involves data-driven communication with internal and external customers and the execution of comprehensive analytical studies using a wide range of techniques. Lead the surface analysis area, including XPS, AFM, Nanoindenter, FESEM-EDS, and surface profiler techniques Participate in product development programs for conductive tapes and industrial adhesive products used in electronic component applications and provide surface and interfacial analytical solutions for customer complaint investigation Collaborate with the Adhesive Technology team within the CRL organization on analytical sample discussions and test method development Collaborate and communicate with global subject matter experts in surface analysis Play a leading and influential role in tech forum activities Drive the development of data analytics and deployment of data analytics solutions. 이 포지션은 3M Analytical Laboratory에서 Senior Research Engineer로서 근무하며, 표면 분석 분야의 다양한 글로벌 분석 요청을 주도적으로 수행할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다. 본 역할은 소재와 제품에 대한 기초적인 이해를 바탕으로 새로운 분석 시험법을 개발하고, 소재 특성 분석, 경쟁사 분석, 성능 및 내구성 평가, 제조 문제 해결, 고객 불만 조사, 데이터 분석 솔루션 개발을 추진하는 데 중점을 둡니다. 또한 글로벌 네트워킹과 협업 활동에서 적극적인 리더십을 발휘할 수 있는 기회도 제공합니다. 다양한 사업 조직과의 긴밀한 협업을 통해 신제품 개발 과정에서 발생하는 문제 해결을 지원하고, 고객의 제품 적용 과정에서 발생하는 이슈에 대응하기 위한 분석 데이터를 제공합니다. 또한 내부 및 외부 고객과의 데이터 기반 커뮤니케이션을 수행하고, 다양한 분석 기법을 활용한 종합적인 분석 연구를 수행하는 업무를 포함합니다. 주요 업무 XPS, AFM , Nanoindenter, FESEM-EDS, 표면 조도 측정기(surface profiler) 등을 포함한 표면 분석 분야를 주도 전자부품 적용 분야의 전도성 테이프 및 산업용 접착 제품 개발 프로그램에 참여하고, 고객 불만 조사에 필요한 표면 및 계면 분석 솔루션 제공 Corporate Research Lab 조직 내 Adhesive Technology 팀과 협력하여 분석 샘플 논의 및 시험법 개발 수행 표면 분석 분야의 글로벌 전문가들과 협업 및 커뮤니케이션 기술 포럼 활동에서 주도적이고 영향력 있는 역할 수행 데이터 분석 역량 개발 및 데이터 분석 솔루션 전개 주도 Candidates with a master’s degree and 3–5+ years of experience, or a Ph.D., in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science, or related fields.
