The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Associate on a 12-month contract at the Psychology and Child & Human Development Department. Project Title : Building Human Capacity in Singapore’s Population: A National Longitudinal Study of Child and Maternal Well-being Project Introduction: This project examines the role of parents in children’s transition from preschool to primary school. Requirements: Master’s degree from a reputable institution specialising in psychology or a related field. Good knowledge of child development theories and research. Prior experience with working with parents and children is highly preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills; being able to be an effective liaison person for contacting families and preschools, and to lead and train a team of student assistants in fieldwork and data collection. Responsibilities: Carry out participant recruitment for the project. Manage the data collection schedule for the research team. Participate in the training of student research assistants. Carry out fieldwork, data coding, and analysis. Participate in manuscript preparation and dissemination of study findings. Other responsibilities related to project management.
