Job Title: Quality Technician, Mon-Fri, 8 am to 5 pm Job Description: The Role: The Entegris site in Bedford, MA is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Process Engineering Technician to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. This role supports factory sustaining by reviewing questionable materials and using defect libraries to disposition them, troubleshooting process problems and Statistical Process Control (SPC) events using response flow checklists, and maintaining these documents with new findings from investigations. The technician works side by side with the engineering team on the factory floor, executing engineering runs on manufacturing equipment and collecting sample measurement data to support projects and continuous improvement. What You’ll Do: Perform in-process and final inspections to verify products meet applicable quality, engineering, and customer requirements. Support Failure Analysis (FA) investigations, including data collection, testing, inspection, documentation, and follow-up of identified issues. Support customer complaint investigations, including containment activities, data collection, product evaluation, and implementation of corrective actions. Coordinate and support Metrology Response Flow Checklist (RFC) activities, ensuring quality and metrology issues are appropriately escalated, investigated, documented, and driven to closure. Create, review, and update work instructions and quality-related documentation to reflect current processes and inspection requirements. Perform final data verification prior to product release and customer data submission, ensuring required inspection and quality records are complete and accurate. Perform final outgoing quality checks, including verification of product labels, traceability records, inspection results, and required shipment documentation. Verify product release readiness, ensuring there are no unresolved NCs or engineering-material conditions, such as V&Q items, unless appropriate waiver or disposition documentation has been approved. Maintain quality records and prepare quality metrics and reports to support product-quality monitoring and continuous improvement. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Metrology, and Quality teams to investigate issues, reduce defects, improve processes, and prevent recurrence. Drive assigned quality issues to closure through effective RFC coordination, documentation, follow-up, and cross-functional collaboration. What We Seek: Associate degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent manufacturing/technical work experience. Experience in a manufacturing, cleanroom, or production environment; semiconductor industry preferred. Familiarity with SPC concepts, including Out of Control (OOC) and Out of Specification (OOS) conditions. Strong attention to detail with the ability to visually inspect, measure, and disposition materials consistently. Comfortable using measurement tools and following work instructions, response flows, and standard operating procedures. Good documentation and technical writing skills, with the ability to update procedures and record findings clearly. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to work hands-on alongside engineers on the factory floor. Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly and to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. “Safety First” attitude, practiced with integrity and a high degree of accountability. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Outstanding Candidates Will Have: 2+ years of experience in a semiconductor or precision-materials manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with defect review, material disposition, or quality inspection. Working knowledge of SPC charts, control limits, and structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone). Experience executing engineering runs, DOEs, or metrology/sample measurements. Knowledge of quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, SPC, GR&R, and Root Cause
