Teaching Areas Teaching assignments will be based on program needs and the successful candidate’s areas of expertise. Courses may include introductory and intermediate financial accounting, managerial and cost accounting, advanced accounting, auditing, accounting information systems, forensic accounting, and related undergraduate or graduate accounting and business courses. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to: • Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses as assigned and bring current professional accounting knowledge and practice into the classroom. • Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional development, including preparation for internships, certifications, and careers in accounting. • Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, continuous improvement, and the Header School of Business’s ACBSP accreditation and reaffirmation processes. • Contribute to the continued development of Accounting programs and curricula. • Support experiential learning, employer engagement, and relationships with the accounting profession. • Maintain appropriate professional engagement and currency within the accounting field. • Collaborate with faculty, staff, administrators, students, and external partners. • Contribute to School and University service, recruitment, student engagement, and other shared initiatives.
