Business Unit: Private Wealth, Hong Kong Business Unit Overview: Private Wealth was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Partnering with many of the world’s largest private banks and wealth management firms as well as family offices, Blackstone’s Private Wealth team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone’s alternative product capability to these firms and their clients and provides ongoing product and advisor support, as well as education and training around alternatives. Job Title: Associate Job Description: The Associate will support building relationships and maintain a high level of contact with distributors such as global & regional private banks in Hong Kong, with the goal of accelerating the adoption of Blackstone investment solutions. The role will also be the subject matter expert across one of the most diverse sets of alternative investment offerings in the industry by having significant interface with members of the firm’s global Private Wealth group. In addition to gaining substantial technical knowledge on alternative investments, the role will also develop expertise across other important aspects including legal documentations, product development, operations, marketing, strategic planning and more. Key Responsibilities: Maintain a high-level of client service by responding to inbound inquiries and working with colleagues across Blackstone and Private Wealth (including investments, legal/compliance department, finance, and other groups within the firm) to resolve clients’ issues. Provide strong support to the full fundraising cycle end-to-end by working closely with global and local colleagues across different functions, from client onboarding, product launches and post-launch services. Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate Blackstone’s sophisticated products. (fund objectives, terms, exposures, characteristics, positioning, performance, etc.) Qualifications: Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate must have: Bachelor’s degree required Relevant SFC Licenses (if not, need to obtain after joining) ~4–5 years of financial services experience, preferably with exposure to alternative investments (asset management, wealth management, or alternatives backgrounds all considered) Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Demonstrate passion for capital markets, alternative investments, and retail and high-net worth businesses in Greater China/Hong Kong Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position.
