William Blair – Private Wealth Management Internship Summer 2027 William Blair’s Private Wealth Management team partners with high-net-worth individuals and families, business owners, endowments, and foundations to deliver sophisticated investment advice and comprehensive wealth management solutions. Program Overview The Private Wealth Management Internship offers a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to advising high-net-worth clients. Interns gain exposure to the full spectrum of wealth management, including financial planning, portfolio construction, investment research, and client relationship management. This immersive experience is designed to develop both technical and interpersonal skills in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Interns will actively contribute to advisory teams & other PWM departments through a variety of meaningful assignments, including: Preparing client presentations and financial analyses Conducting research on financial markets, investment strategies, and economic trends Supporting portfolio reviews, performance analysis, and account-related initiatives Assisting with CRM updates, data management, and reporting processes Observing client meetings and internal strategy discussions, where appropriate Participating in team projects and firm-wide intern programming Qualifications Academic Requirements Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029 Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher Skills & Attributes Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Demonstrated interest in Private Wealth Management and financial markets High level of professionalism, initiative, and intellectual curiosity What We Look For Successful candidates bring a combination of academic excellence, genuine interest in financial markets, and a desire to build long-term client relationships. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position. This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.
