Job description

Overview Intuit is the global financial technology platform behind TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, Mailchimp, and Intuit Enterprise Suite. Our mission is to power prosperity around the world, and our Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) carries that mission for small businesses, mid-market companies, and the accountants who serve them. We're hiring a Principal Communications Manager who is eager and equipped to help Intuit win the mid-market. This means leading creative and targeted communications efforts that establish Intuit as the go-to, industry-leading solution for mid-market companies, and the top recommendation from the accounting firms, CFOs and advisors who guide and make their software decisions. Intuit Enterprise Suite and QuickBooks Online Advanced are the products behind this push, but the mandate is bigger than either one: it's category leadership in a market Intuit intends to own by delivering a platform that meets the needs of its business customers, and the accountants that serve them, at every stage of growth so they never leave the Intuit platform. You'll have the runway to build and grow this function over time as that ambition scales. The job is being a cross-functional leader in a highly-matrixed organization. You'll set strategy and direction across Analyst Relations and PR, including executive thought leadership and work closely to influence and engage Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, and Legal, balancing the objectives of each and pulling each function's work into one coherent external story aimed at two audiences that drive mid-market purchase decisions: industry analysts and the accounting/advisory community. Executive visibility (press interviews, bylines, LinkedIn presence, analyst briefings) is one of the tools you'll use to do that, not the mandate itself. Reporting to the VP of Brand and Product Communications, you'll own the strategy; the Principal Analyst Relations Manager reports organizationally to the VP but is led day-to-day (direction, priorities, and execution) by you. Your deep existing knowledge of the enterprise space and hungry exploration of the growing verticals we will take on as well as the changing landscape is critical and you will be the individual who helps bring that outside-in perspective to the team, by knowing what stakeholder audiences care about most. Responsibilities How You Will Lead Set and own the external communications strategy for Mid-Market, combining PR and Analyst Relations, anchored in a single goal: making Intuit the recognized, go-to platform for mid-market companies and their accounting firms. Lead the Analyst Relations strategy and direct the Principal Analyst Relations Manager's day-to-day priorities, including the analyst calendar, briefings, inquiries, narrative, and inclusion in named evaluations and market reports (Gartner, IDC, Forrester, Constellation), while that role maintains its formal reporting line to the VP. Build and run a communications approach that reaches the accounting and advisory community specifically, the trusted recommenders mid-market companies rely on, alongside traditional press and analyst audiences. Orchestrate across Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, Brand, Platform PR, Investor Relations, and Legal so external messaging reflects one category-leadership narrative, not disconnected product news. Direct external PR and AR agency partners against that strategy, holding them accountable to market-position outcomes rather than activity. Use executive visibility (press interviews, bylines, LinkedIn thought leadership, analyst briefings) as a deliberate lever to advance Intuit's standing with analysts and the accounting channel, equipping EVP/SVP spokespeople accordingly. Represent Mid-Market Comms in planning for major company moments, including quarterly product releases, brand campaigns, and flagship events, ensuring they ladder into the larger category-leadership story.
