Building Location: Duluth Family Medicine Clinic Department: 2399810 DFMC CLINIC OPERATIONS - DFMC Job Description: This position greets customers and facilitates the patient registration process in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. Interviews and obtains demographic and financial information from patients or their representatives through face-to-face and virtual interactions to provide Essentia Health with the documents and data necessary to ensure appropriate care and compliant, accurate patient registration and billing. This position serves as liaisons between patients and Virtual Patient Registration Representatives and Patient Schedulers. They must be able to complete patient checkout, schedule follow-up appointments per the physician’s order, and provide patients with cost estimates and itineraries for their upcoming appointments. Education Qualifications: Key Responsibilities: Patient identification, registration, and scheduling, after visit summaries with estimates, patient checkout and appointment, and procedure and lab scheduling, obtaining required signatures and documents from patients Full pre-registration of all patients calling to schedule an appointment, including updating of guarantor information and verification of insurance eligibility Coordinates the scheduling of services for patients including ancillary and procedure scheduling Handles incoming calls, follow-up and referral work queues, ticket scheduling Proficiently and accurately enters data into the permanent electronic health record while talking with patients Works as part of a care team of support staff and clinical staff to provide optimal customer service and clinical outcomes Preferred Qualifications: Previous patient access representative or scheduling experience preferred Licensure/Certification Qualifications: FTE: 1 Possible Remote/Hybrid Option: Shift Rotation: Day Rotation (United States of America) Shift Start Time: 8:30AM Shift End Time: 5:00PM Weekends: NO Holidays: No Call Obligation: No Union: Union Posting Deadline: Compensation Range: $17.63 - $26.45 Employee Benefits at Essentia Health:
