Assesses patients’ conditions, including vital signs, injuries, and medical symptoms. Administers advanced life support (ALS), including medications, IV therapy, airway management, and cardiac monitoring, as authorized by their certification and protocols. Performs emergency medical procedures, including CPR, defibrillation, and trauma care. Safely transports patients to medical facilities while monitoring and managing their conditions. Collaborates with emergency dispatchers, EMTs, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Documents patient assessments, treatments, and medical care provided during each call. What We're Looking For Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience : Prefer at least one-year experience with a paid EMS provider at the Paramedic level. Licensure/Certification :North Carolina Paramedic certification (or eligible for reciprocity). BCLS, ACLS, PALS required. ITLS or PHTLS required within 90 days of hire. Current and valid driver's license and must the meet requirements of the Medical Center’s Insurance carrier. Must meet general hospital driving requirements.
