Job description

About Us Dutch Vet is transforming veterinary care by making expert treatment accessible anytime, anywhere. Our mission is simple: help every pet live their happiest, healthiest life by connecting pet parents with licensed vets through seamless virtual visits. We’re the only veterinary telemedicine service that can diagnose, prescribe, and ship medications directly to customers in most states. For less than $100 per year, Dutch offers real relief and convenience for pets and their families. As one customer put it: “Dutch was the only site that would diagnose and prescribe meds as well as ship the meds.” Here’s what other customers have said about Dutch Vet: "The easiest vet visit you'll ever have.” "More thorough than my in-person vet.” "No nonsense, quick, easy and friendly veterinarian. Much cheaper than our regular local vet that couldn’t get us in. So glad I found Dutch!" Backed by world-class investors including Forerunner Ventures, Eclipse Ventures, and Bling Capital, our team is made-up of successful startup founders (Hims, PlushCare, Nasty Gal) with expertise in scaling enterprises (TripAdvisor, Walmart, BARK). Featured in TechCrunch, Forbes, Wired, and Axios, Dutch is setting the standard for quality, accessibility, and compassion in pet care. About the Role Dutch is piloting a new line of business: mobile vaccine clinics that bring veterinary care directly to pet owners through pop-up events at retail partner locations, starting in the Bay Area and expanding to additional cities as the model proves out. This is a build-from-zero, ambiguity-heavy role for someone who wants to own a new business line end to end The Mobile Clinic, City Launcher will own the full lifecycle of standing up mobile vaccine clinic operations in a new market: staffing, vendor and store relationships, logistics, compliance, launch-day execution, and the post-launch P&L. Early on, this means being hands-on in the field for pilot events. As the model scales, this means turning what worked into a repeatable playbook that can be handed off to local teams as we roll out city by city. What You'll Own: x City Launch Execution Own the end-to-end launch plan for each new city: store/retail partner approval, event scheduling, staffing, inventory, and go-live. Be the on-the-ground operator for early pilot events including hands-on logistics, troubleshooting, and direct coordination with vets, vet techs, and store partners. Build and refine a repeatable city launch playbook based on what's learned at each new market, so launches get faster and more predictable over time. Local Staffing & Vendor Management Recruit, hire, and manage local staffing for each market: veterinarians or RVT/LVTs, vet assistants, and customer service reps, in partnership with Veterinary Operations. Own relationships with retail partner locations (e.g., PetSmart) in each city securing approvals, negotiating logistics, and maintaining the partnership day to day. Manage distributor and supply relationships to ensure vaccines, medical supplies, and equipment are reliably stocked and compliant with cold-chain requirements. Operational & Financial Ownership Own the P&L for each city launch: revenue, labor cost, vaccine and supply cost (including wastage), marketing spend, and setup cost and hold the business accountable to break-even and ROI targets. Track and report on core KPIs: customers served per event, average order value, CSAT, membership opt-in and conversion rate, and event-level profitability. Make the call on which cities and store locations to prioritize next, based on performance data from prior launches. Cross-Functional Coordination Partner with Marketing on local customer awareness and pre-arrival campaigns for each new market. Partner with Legal/Compliance to ensure each new state or municipality's licensing, VCPR, and regulatory requirements are met before launch. Partner with Tech/Product to surface field feedback on the associate app, booking flow, and payment experie
