Provides direct management to semi-skilled and entry-level professional employees performing diverse and/or specialized roles, or employees in more than one function or work group. This includes establishing annual plans/objectives and interpretation of policies related to the functional area. Contributes to policy development. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Receives assignments in the form of tasks and goals and follows established processes to meet the goals of the unit. Executes budgets, develops schedules, and enforces policies and procedures. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the divisions/departments operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Provides immediate supervision to employees in more than one function or work group, assigning tasks and checking work at regular intervals. Directs subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies. Makes hiring and firing decisions. Reviews employees performance and recommends employee compensation; coaches for improved performance and disciplines as necessary. Interacts directly with subordinates and peer groups. Builds strong internal and external relationships that require exchanging of information and providing explanations in a problem solving capacity. Detailed Description • Issue the MTRS with structural and functional coverage targets per insertion, before test development starts. • Agree the reduced-scope EVT test with design, software and the site, and report measured coverage and first pass yield at EVT exit. • Sign the Test Readiness Review before the Build Authorisation is issued. • Own test limits and guardband method with the design authority, and control the limit file against station-level edits. • Own golden unit designation and control, and the manufacturing diagnostics and provisioning package with Software. • Drive early-build debug to root cause within the agreed turnaround, and agree failure attribution at 8D closure. • Verify station correlation, Gage R&R and parametric data capture before the build. • Track NPI-phase DPPM, first pass yield and test time against budget for the programme. • Feed test escapes and coverage gaps back into the DFT rule set. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Test readiness signed before Build Authorisation · coverage measured and reported at EVT exit · debug turnaround to root cause · first pass yield by phase · NPI-phase DPPM · test escapes. Physical Demands Six to twelve years in test engineering across structural and functional test, with real debug experience on early builds. Able to argue coverage with a designer and yield with a site manager. Degree in electrical or electronic engineering. Rack-level or tray-level specialisation depending on assignment. Typical Experience Five to seven years of relevant experience Typical Education Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
