Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. Comfortable being 80% hands-on while maintaining architectural vision Experience with Linux based development and platform modernization 9+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, or similar role in a technology driven environment. 5+ years of experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and best agile software engineering practices. 5+ years of experience applying or working within guidelines of RTCA DO-178C standard, Software Consideration in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification. Preferred Qualifications: Systems software requirements definition & decomposition for airplane network systems, validation and verification, development assurance, safety analysis, and systems integration Demonstrated design of software architecture, engineering standards, and migration guardrails for embedded Linux build reproducibility, patching, and lifecycle management Work with TLS protocols, cipher suites and libraries Working with systems engineers and test engineers to define and validate highly reliable system functionality Perform risk management and trade study analyses Provide analytical and problem-solving skills to accomplish optimal system design and integration Experience with airplane networks and communication systems Excellent verbal and written communications Customer focus and ability to jump to the hottest “fire” and contribute to problem solutions The applicable base salary range for this role is $165,000 - $220,000 The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position will be eligible for performance-based incentives.
