Responsibilities Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers intensive residential treatment services within a secure setting. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of youth ages 7- 17 who are experiencing emotional, psychiatric and educational difficulties. In addition to our general psychiatric programs, we also offer specialty programs for youth with more serious challenges. Harbor Point and its programs are fully accredited by The Joint Commission and the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Educational Facilities. Milieu Manager : Provides clinical leadership and supervision to direct care staff. Works in association with the DON, CEO and Director of Clinical Operations to ensure consistency in care provided by the residential care staff and the clinical staff. Implements programming and provides ongoing training and supervision to create and maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu. Coordinates and assigns direct care staff to the units facilitates accurate communication among flex pool staff. Assists with daily time and attendance. Qualifications Qualifications: Must possess demonstrated leadership ability, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals, strong oral and written communication skills. Must possess knowledge of therapeutic relationships as relates to adolescents, therapeutic processes, adolescent growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management of aggressive behavior and CPR. An individual must be able to perform each Essential Function of the job satisfactorily. Education: Prefer a Bachelor degree in social work or psychology. Minimum of a high school diploma / G.E.D. Five years of experience working with children, preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to verbally de-escalate and physically restrain when necessary.
