Summary Manages wastewater treatment plant personnel in the operation and maintenance of plant processes and facilities to improve efficiency and meet regulatory certification requirements by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities Primary Confers with management personnel to establish operation and quality control standards and develop budget and cost controls. Prepares operational schedules and coordinates wastewater treatment activities to ensure optimum operation, quality, cost, and utilization of people, machines and equipment. Reviews operating reports and resolves operational and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Monitors machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. Resolves employee issues and concerns or engages the Plant Manager and/or Human Resources to assist in unsettled issues. Completes all reports required by Wisconsin Statutes and submits them to the Department of Natural Resources by required dates. Demonstrates and trains wastewater personnel in the operation and maintenance of treatment plant machines and equipment. Clearly communicates procedural information to employees such as the selection of sampling sites, laboratory techniques, record keeping, safety measures, and care of lift stations. Provides technical support to plant employees and serves as a troubleshooter to solve operational problems. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Conducts annual performance reviews. Communicates company and department information through meetings and written forms of communication. Remains approachable and accessible to employees. Demonstrates initiative and strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills. Demonstrates safe and quality conscious work habits and follows all company policies and procedures. Focuses on Saputo’s vision and goals and considers the best interest of Saputo and its employees, customers, and patrons while performing job duties. Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times. Maintains confidentiality. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance Employees are responsible for understanding and complying with the Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines to ensure that quality food products are manufactured in a sanitary production environment and delivered with superior protection to our customers and consumers. Supports Saputo’s commitment to preserve the environment by following all established policies and procedures related to such preservation. Reports any identified concerns regarding potential hazards to the environment. Other Duties Maintains examination records and coordinates training with the State Certification program. Assists with leading safety meetings or training sessions for plant personnel. Performs all other duties as assigned.
