Job description

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. We are seeking qualified applicants for the position: Manager, Construction Finance - Liquidity & Finance Integration Located: Arlington Summary Construction Finance is the finance function for the company's LNG capital projects. We fund them, account for them, forecast them, and provide independent financial challenge on cost and schedule outcomes. This role builds and owns operating models for our project entities. These models connect construction execution, funding, and commercial operations to entity-level financial results, covenant compliance, and distributions. The role also helps raise the team's modeling capability through shared standards, templates, and coaching. The role reports to the VP, Construction Finance, and works closely with Treasury, FP&A, Project Controls, Accounting, and senior leadership. Candidates should expect periodic extended hours around reporting and executive deadlines. This position is 100% office-based in Arlington, VA. Occasional travel to construction sites and the Houston office is required. General Description Duties & Responsibilities Entity Operating Models Build and maintain integrated three-statement operating models for project entities, linking construction spend, schedule, funding, and the transition to commercial operations. Model entity cash flows through to distributions, including waterfall mechanics, reserve requirements, and distribution conditions. Track covenant compliance and headroom on a forecast and actual basis. Run sensitivities and project-level cost-benefit analysis to support operating and execution decisions. Liquidity Support Support project liquidity forecasting, including draw timing, sources and uses, contingency, and reserves. Identify emerging funding pressure early and quantify its implications. Provide model outputs and analysis for lender and Independent Engineer requests. Forecasting & Risk Produce completion cost and cash flow forecasts tied to schedule and execution progress. Contribute to the project financial stress test: scenario inputs, model updates, and executive outputs. Translate cost and schedule developments into entity-level financial impacts. Modeling Standards & Team Capability Establish modeling standards (structure, documentation, version control, review) so that models withstand lender, auditor, and internal-control scrutiny. Build reusable templates that scale across project entities. Coach analysts and associates through model review and hands-on development. FP&A Integration Integrate entity models into consolidated budgets and forecasts with FP&A. Present decision-ready analysis to senior leadership, leading with conclusions and following with supporting analysis. Qualifications Required experience 5+ years in project finance, infrastructure or energy finance, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, or a related field, with substantial hands-on modeling experience. Demonstrated ability to build integrated three-statement models from scratch, including cash waterfalls, reserve accounts, and covenant tests. Expert Excel modeler whose models are clean, auditable, and usable by others. Solid command of GAAP and financial statement mechanics, sufficient to reconcile model outputs to reported results. Ability to explain model-driven conclusions clearly to executives. Self-directed in ambiguous environments; raises issues with proposed solutions in hand. Preferred Experienc
