About the Team and the Role eBay is reimagining the future of e-commerce by building a trusted marketplace and empowering global teams with high-impact talent development. The Global Finance Learning & Development team supports finance professionals across all stages of their careers through innovative, scalable learning programs and operational excellence. In this role, you will partner directly with business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to design engaging learning solutions, oversee global learning management system (LMS) operations, facilitate high-touch onboarding experiences, and maintain internal digital content platforms. Combining instructional design expertise with operational rigor, you will play a central role in driving talent development across the Finance organization—including new hire onboarding, early career technical curriculum, networking circles, and other ad hoc learning projects. What You Will Accomplish As the Instructional Designer and Learning Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for end-to-end learning solution design, global LMS system management, program facilitation, and content governance across the Global Finance organization. Instructional Design & Content Development Apply instructional design and design thinking principles to build engaging, learner-centered functional and technical training programs. Develop and maintain end-to-end courseware , including e-learning modules, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentations, visual assets, and knowledge assessments. Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and update finance technical curricula and onboarding materials. Build assessment tools and end-of-class exams for structured career development pathways, including the multi-tier Finance Future Professionals (FFP) curriculum. LMS Administration & Learning Operations Own end-to-end LMS operations in Workday Learn across the Global Finance organization, overseeing asset loading, offering creation, and course enrollments. Track and report L&D metrics , pulling learning enrollment, attendance, and assessment analytics to monitor program impact and engagement. Serve as ad-hoc registrar and operational point of contact , handling ad-hoc requests, registration tracking, and learner comms across teams. Program Management & Facilitation Facilitate engaging virtual and in-person sessions , including new hire programs and networking circles. Coordinate program logistics , including conference room bookings in key hubs (San Jose, Austin, Bangalore), calendar holds, and executive speaker alignment with leadership. Support Finance Networking Circles (FNC) by aligning strategy, coordinating host schedules, managing calendar holds, publishing communications, and co-hosting live sessions. Develop and distribute onboarding materials (e.g., Director & Above Playbook) and tailored Welcome Letters for new hires, direct managers, and directors. Distribute post-session collateral , sharing training recordings, AI Zoom summaries, and updated course decks with participants. Content Curation & Digital Governance Manage site governance and user permissions across internal SharePoint / Hub sites and external portals to maintain seamless navigation.
