Food Service Worker / Kitchen Associate (PRN) Location: Pyramid Healthcare Ridgeview | Gibsonia, PA Pay: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Per Diem (PRN) Flexible Kitchen Opportunity – Join Our Team! Pyramid Healthcare Ridgeview is seeking a dependable and motivated Food Service Worker / Kitchen Associate to join our kitchen team on a per diem (PRN) basis! This is a great opportunity for someone with experience as a Cook, Prep Cook, Line Cook, Dietary Aide, Dietary Worker, or Food Service Associate who is looking for a flexible work arrangement, supplemental income, or an opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Our Gibsonia location is a 42-bed residential treatment center for adults, where our kitchen team prepares three meals daily for individuals receiving treatment. You'll work alongside our Lead Cook to assist with meal preparation, food service, kitchen operations, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Whether your background is in restaurant food preparation, institutional dining, healthcare dietary services, or general food service, we'd like to hear from you! What You'll Do Assist with daily meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, portioning desserts, and organizing ingredients. Help prepare meals according to established menus and recipes. Assist the Lead Cook with daily kitchen operations and food preparation. Set up and maintain the food serving line to ensure meals are ready on schedule. Serve meals to clients and assist with dining room operations. Stock beverages, utensils, napkins, and other dining supplies. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, kitchen equipment, and dining areas. Sweep and mop kitchen and cafeteria floors. Monitor and record refrigerator and food temperatures. Receive food deliveries and assist with checking in and organizing food orders. Follow established food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures. Perform other kitchen and food service duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, food preparation, cooking, dietary services, or institutional dining preferred. Experience as a Cook, Prep Cook, Line Cook, Kitchen Assistant, Dietary Aide, or Food Service Worker is a plus. Basic knowledge of food preparation, portion control, and kitchen sanitation. ServSafe certification preferred. Ability to follow menus, recipes, instructions, and food safety guidelines. Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized. Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team. Flexibility and willingness to pick up shifts based on program needs.
