Job description
About Overwatch Mission Critical Overwatch is a service-disabled Veteran-owned small business (SDVOB) certified through the National Veterans Business Development Council (NVBDC) , offering construction professional services, talent acquisition, and general contractor support for the mission-critical infrastructure industry. Our mission is the construction and management of state-of-the-art data centers with the precision and reliability this industry demands. From high-end engineers to seasoned professionals, we deploy the people you need to get your data center off the ground. At Overwatch, it's more than a job. Its purpose. The Role Overwatch delivers mission-tested talent for data-center construction and operations, the industry building the backbone of AI and national security. Two of our most valuable brand assets are our leaders: CEO Kirk Offel and Chief Talent Officer Michael Sarraille. Their voices open doors with customers, partners, policymakers and the veterans we recruit. The Director of Executive Brand & Communications owns those voices: their personal brands, websites, social media, speaking platforms and podcasts. This is a high-trust, high-visibility seat with direct access to the CEO, and the work shapes how the market, policymakers and our own workforce see Overwatch. Success means both executives are recognized as leading voices on digital infrastructure, the workforce behind it and its role in national security. You will partner across marketing leadership and the executive leadership team, and work closely with our Senior Director of Communications & Government Relations and our outside PR consultant. Key responsibilities: Executive brand strategy Build a distinct brand platform, narrative pillars and voice guide for each executive, aligned with the Overwatch brand and go-to-market priorities. Define each executive's priority audiences (hyperscalers, developers, contractors, policymakers, veterans and talent) and the themes each one owns. Run an annual and quarterly executive visibility plan tied to company milestones, launches and policy moments. Keep both brands consistent across every channel while staying authentic to each voice. Executive communications Write speeches, keynotes, remarks, talking points and briefing books. Draft executive correspondence, all-hands messages and leadership notes to employees. Prepare both executives for interviews, panels and high-stakes moments with message maps and Q&A prep. Partner with the VP of Communications & Public Policy and our PR consultant on op-eds, bylines, media placements and rapid response. Social media Own both executives' social accounts end to end, primarily LinkedIn, plus X, Instagram and YouTube where they fit. Ghostwrite and publish a steady cadence of posts, carousels, short-form video and newsletters in each voice. Engage on their behalf: comments, community management and relationships with industry voices and partners. Monitor industry conversations and trends to spot timely openings for commentary. Coordinate with Overwatch's brand channels so company and executive content amplify each other. Websites, speaking and podcasts Own both executive websites: content, SEO, bios, speaker pages and media kits. Manage the speaking pipeline: pitch, vet and prioritize engagements, prep each executive, and repurpose every appearance into content. • Coordinate strategy and messaging with the podcast showrunner for their hosted shows: Nine Nines (Kirk Offel and Mike Sarraille) and Data Center Revolution (Kirk Offel). Measurement and operations Track reach, follower growth, engagement, share of voice, placements and speaking bookings, and report monthly. Maintain the editorial calendar, approval workflow and content library for both executives. Manage freelance writers, designers and video editors as needed. Qualifications: Required 7+ years in strategic communications and PR, executive communications, thought leadership or journalism; communications or PR a
