Aitkin Public Schools is seeking a Full-time Custodian . This position's hours are with occasional weekends. (Flexible schedule if working weekends.) The Custodian performs intermediate manual work caring for and cleaning school buildings and grounds, and related work as assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Building and Grounds Supervisor and Lead Custodian. Essential Duties To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function, including: Sweep, vacuum, buff, strip floors, wax, and dust mop assigned areas Remove trash from rooms and buildings Clean and disinfect restrooms, including mirrors, washbasins, urinals, commodes, and mop sinks Refill tissue, towel, and soap dispensers Mow, trim, and maintain lawns Remove snow from grounds, sidewalks, and parking lots Dust furniture, walls, window sills, blinds, and woodwork Move furniture as needed Open and close facilities and monitor alarm systems to ensure building safety and security Assist with facility, grounds, and equipment maintenance and repairs Special Requirements Not required, but willingness to obtain 2C Boiler License within 1 year.
