AVAILABLE POSITION: CUSTODIAL/CLEANING SUBSTITUTES Location: New Ulm Public Schools (multiple buildings) Job Summary: Participates in all building cleaning activities such as mopping, sweeping, or cleaning floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets; dust cabinets, desks, and building surfaces; clean glass partitions and windows; scrub, strip, wax, and buff floors; spot clean spills/stains on floors or surfaces; remove vandalism marks from building or equipment; clean, sanitize, and polish all washroom fixtures; fill dispensers, gather and dispose of refuse. May conduct ground maintenance including landscaping, snow removal, painting, raking, or other similar tasks. Consult with Lead Custodian regarding unusual maintenance problems and make recommendations concerning the purchase of supplies, material, and equipment. Perform other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned . Position Requirements: Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to follow directions with attention to detail Ability to climb 20-30 feet Able to lift 50-60 pounds Endurance to walk/stand for majority of shift High School Diploma or GED Start Date: As agreed upon; Summer 2026 and 2026-27 School Year Compensation Package: Position offers a starting salary of $17.96, based on experience.
