Job description

Who we are Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress. Over the last decade, software has transformed the digital world. But the physical world, where food is made, minerals are mined, goods are moved, and industries are run, remains far less intelligent, far less efficient, and far more constrained. We’re changing that. Atoms builds Physical AI— real-world robots for the industries that move civilization forward, starting with food, mining, and transport. Our systems are designed to understand, predict, and control the real world with precision, turning complex physical operations into something more reliable, more scalable, and more productive. This work requires more than robotics. It requires deep integration across hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate. We don’t just build machines in a lab. We deploy them into real environments, operate them, learn from them, and improve them until they work at scale. We are roboticists, engineers, operators, and builders. We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life. If you want to work on hard problems with real-world impact, join us. What you’ll do Project Delivery & Site Execution Oversee the end-to-end construction of new developments—with a focus on roadside QSR drive-thrus and EVC hubs—as well as modernisations across the existing real estate portfolio. Develop, manage, and track project schedules and critical path milestones to ensure timely delivery across multiple concurrent schemes. Conduct regular site visits, job walks, and pre-construction due diligence activities to verify site conditions and progress. Troubleshoot constructability, sequencing, and inspection issues on-site to resolve blockers quickly and prevent project delays. Utility & Stakeholder Management Manage relationships and day-to-day coordination with external consultants, principal contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Lead the on-site sequencing and scheduling of utility companies to secure timely power, water, and telecom connections—critical for EVC and drive-thru operations. Commercial & Financial Control Assist with budget planning, cost monitoring, and financial control across assigned projects. Review, verify, and process contractor valuations and payment applications to ensure compliance with contractual terms. Quality, Compliance & Safety Enforce rigorous Health & Safety standards across all active sites in line with UK statutory regulations and internal policies. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure all works conform to corporate specifications, design standards, and operational requirements. Reporting & Administration Provide regular project status, budget, and risk reporting to senior leadership. Coordinate project administration, including site meetings, contract documentation, and handover processes. What we’re looking for Experience & Qualifications 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction management, ideally within retail, hospitality, roadside QSR, or F&B developments. Professional accreditation: RICS, CIOB, or MAPM membership (or actively working towards chartered status) is highly desirable. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field preferred. Full UK driving licence due to site travel. Technical & Commercial Skills Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills and sound commercial judgment when managing contracts, suppliers, and budgets. Multi-Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, navigate competing priorities, and deliver to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
