What We Offer Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:45am-5:00pm Novant Health Endocrinology & Thyroid in Huntersville is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our patient-centered team. This position plays a vital role in supporting providers and delivering exceptional care to patients with endocrine and thyroid-related conditions. What You'll Do Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication information, Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures. Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up appointmentsPerform administrative and clinical duties as assignedProvide outstanding customer service to patients and their families. What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement. Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required. Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
