Department: Transportation TITLE: BUS MONITOR CLASSIFICATION : Part-Time / Hourly FLSA: Non-Exempt DEPARTMENT: Transportation SALARY: $16.43- $19.42 WORK YEAR: School Year REPORT TO: Transportation Coordinator DESCRIPTION: Under the general direction of the Department Administrator / School, The Bus Monitor will supervise the pick up and drop off of student passengers at bus stops, stations or regularly scheduled locations; enforce school safety and student conduct regulations in accordance with School Board policies and procedures. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Regular attendance to perform assigned duties; Supervise the pick up and drop off of student passengers; Ensure students are properly seated at all times Maintain student bus roster Record and report all major incidents Maintain discipline as needed Assist students with special needs as required Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: A High School Diploma or its equivalence Two years experience with school age students Position type: District and School Support Positions - Non-Cert / Bus Monitor School / site: Various School Locations (High-Needs School) Closing date: Until Filled
