BUILDING: Transportation POSITION: Bus Driver EFFECTIVE: 2026-2027 School year SPECIFICS: Bus Driver position, following the A.F.S.C.M.E. Master Agreement Reports to: Transportation Supervisor 0.5 FTE - Morning and Afternoon Routes - Daytime Substitute Occasionally QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate. Must pass pre-employment background checks and annual physical exam without restrictions per Michigan transportation rules and regulations and Federally mandated random drug and alcohol testing per district policy. Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license, prefer applicant to have a current CDL-BPS Certification. High level of competence in English language skills. Ability to work and maintain good rapport with co-workers and the community. Self-motivated and ability to work independently. Possess a good attendance record. Must have an acceptable driving record. RESPONSIBLILITIES: Transportation of students in a safe and timely manner to and from school or other related events or activities. Pre & Post Trip Inspections. Other duties as may be assigned. Other qualifications are also considered in the final selection of a person to fill this position.
