Astrodynamics Software Engineer The Opportunity: As a software engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. You’ll help make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You Have: 3+ years of experience in astrophysics or astrodynamics 3+ years of experience using Python for mission‑critical or scientific applications Experience developing software in Linux or UNIX environments, including shell scripting and operational troubleshooting Experience working with containerized environments, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows Experience designing, building, and deploying algorithms for orbital determination, tracking, or space domain awareness Knowledge of orbital mechanics and space object behavior TS/SCI clearance Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astrophysics, or Computer Science Nice If You Have: 3+ years of experience using Java for mission‑critical or scientific applications Experience with large‑scale, distributed systems supporting space situational awareness or orbital analytics Experience with enterprise CM pipelines, version control discipline, and release management hygiene Possession of strong communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Level II Information Assurance Technical (IAT Level II) Certification AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Associate Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
