Job description

Ally and Your Career Ally Financial only succeeds when its people do - and that’s more than some cliché people put on job postings. We love this stuff! We see our people as, well, people - with interests, families, friends, dreams, and causes that are all important to them. Our focus is on the health and safety of our teammates as well as work-life balance and diversity and inclusion. From generous benefits to a variety of employee resource groups, we strive to build paths that encourage employees to stretch themselves professionally. We want to help you grow, develop, and learn new things. You’re constantly evolving, so shouldn’t your opportunities be, too? Work Schedule : Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.
The Opportunity This role is on a hybrid schedule in Detroit or Charlotte, in office a few days each week with some remote work. Join a Talent Acquisition team that is transforming how recruiting gets done. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you'll play an important role in creating a seamless experience for candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers while helping our recruiting team operate efficiently. This role goes beyond coordination. You'll work across recruiting processes, technology, candidate support, and operational initiatives to help keep hiring moving forward. You'll thrive here if you're organized, proactive, curious, and adaptable. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technology, building relationships, and finding better ways to get work done. This team has evolved beyond primarily manual scheduling into recruiting process support, candidate experience, complex coordination, operational work, and continuous improvement.

The Work Itself Deliver a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience through timely, clear, and professional communication. Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to keep candidates moving efficiently through the recruiting process. Support interview coordination and resolve complex scheduling needs, calendar conflicts, onsite interviews, and executive-level logistics. Monitor recruiting activity and identify missing information, process gaps, or issues that could delay hiring. Support candidate review, interview feedback follow-up, and other recruiting activities as business needs evolve. Use recruiting technology and automation to drive efficiency while providing hands-on support when needed. Review recruiting processes and documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Respond to questions and requests from candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and other partners. Contribute to Talent Acquisition projects, technology testing, process improvements, and operational initiatives. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve the candidate experience, and make our team more effective. Handle confidential candidate and employee information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. The Skills You Bring 1+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, recruiting coordination, recruiting operations, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership, ask questions, and find solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with candidates and stakeholders at all levels. Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across teams. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to look beyond the immediate issue and determine the best path forward. Comf
