RSU5 DURHAM-FREEPORT-POWNAL 5th Grade Teacher Long-Term Substitute 2026-2027 Mast Landing School Mast Landing School, a grades 3-5 elementary school in Freeport, seeks a passionate 5th grade teacher to join our collaborative learning community as a long-term substitute teacher beginning immediately through December 22, 2026. We are committed to creating joyful, inclusive classrooms where all students are known, valued, challenged, and supported to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. This position is part of a two-person teaching team and involves two blocks of math daily within an elementary school schedule. The ideal candidate believes deeply in the potential of every child an brings energy and a strong understanding of elementary instruction to their work. Successful student and families, fostering a positive classroom culture, and collaborating closely with colleagues to support student learning. Pay for this position is designated at $150 per day, after 10 consecutive days in the same assignment the rate for this position is $297.90. Requirements: Must hold valid CHRC Certification from the ME Dept. of Education. Position remains open until suitable candidate is found.
